Andros Boatworks, Inc. began with a big idea, to fill a void in the design and construction of custom hybrid bay and panga style boats. The founders Andy, Don and Danny Eggebrecht realized the potential that the panga hull offered and wanted to bring this historic design to the next level. Panga builders in the U.S. and other countries simply ignored quality, customization, and fishing features. They also ignored the changes in technology in the boating industry, specifically four stroke motors and their weight. With improving technology in power and the old school design of the Panga, changes had to be made. The Eggebrechts yearned to build a stronger, safer, more appointed boat, and succeeded masterfully. Panga boats and custom bay boats are becoming more and more popular, and in most cases the designs are being copied with no real engineering or design. Now, active boaters, and adventure hungry fisherman around the world enjoy the safety, durability, versatility and performance of an Andros boat. Andros Boatworks' began with a handful of able craftsmen. We promise to maintain this small company mentality even though we now have growing company resources. In 2008, Andros Boat Works expanded to a new state-of-the-art 30,000 sq/ft. factory to bring lamination and custom rigging into a single building. Andros Boatworks is now becoming a leader in the design and construction of small, semi-custom boats. "We designed every inch of this boat and now are proud to build them individually for each customer." Adds Andy. "This relationship with our customers is what our company is all about."
In mid 2008 Ryan Wood joined Andros Boatworks, Inc. as the fourth and equal partner. Ryan was one of the three founders of Under Armour, one of the nations most successful new brands. Ryan understands quality and was an Andros (Cuda 23) owner before he became a partner. Ryan is heavily involved in the daily operations of the business, he has helped to implement new business systems, sales / marketing strategy and provides an additional set of eyes and ears as well as a new prospective on the business. Ryan has a home in Boca Grande and a ranch in Steamboat Springs CO.
