Charlie and Roxanne searched for quite awhile when considering a new boat for their family. They wanted at custom bay / hybrid boat built in Southwest Florida. Although price was not their number one concern they were happy with what they could get for their money in an Andros Boat. After testing every custom bay boats out there they committed to purchasing the Andros Tarpon 26 on their seatrial. When it was time to design their boat no stone was unturned, and at one time they were even considering a custom dive door so the kids could board easily when snorkeling. Later they changed their mind and went with a custom swim platform on the transom.
The Britt family uses their new Tarpon 26 in the Tampa Bay area, in the rivers, flats, the Gulf offshore and takes trips with the boat to north Florida for scalloping and the Keys for lobster and offshore species. They wanted a boat that could do it all, and do it comfortably. We built them a custom dodger so that the kids could spend a few more hours out on the boat by getting some shade. The day they took delivery the two girls were claiming which side they would call home when on the boat.
After taking delivery in early November, the Britts have reported that they love the boat and the only problem is not being able to get out in it enough. They have been traveling and with the holidays approaching they have been busy. As always it has been a pleasure working with them to build a boat that is perfect for them. We hope to see them on the water in the coming months.
All of our customers know they can call us anytime on our mobile numbers with questions. Charlie was frustrated he couldn't start the boat one morning. It only took 1 minute to diagnose the problem over the phone. Actually we were fishing when he called. Charlie, you have to have the battery switch on first! |
